Heard Mr. Rodrigues for the Petitioner. At least, prima facie, this Petition is quite misconceived. If, the Chief Officer, Margao Municipal Council requires some extension to comply with the directions issued by this Court, then, it is for the Chief Officer to apply this Court by explaining the reasons. Similarly, in a Petition of this nature, it will not be appropriate to order fresh inspections or amalgamation. All this exercise, at least prima facie, appears to be directed to delay the proceedings before the Chief Officer, which have been ordered by this Court. The order made by this Court was not even interfered with by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. 2.

For the aforesaid reasons, this Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.

The Petitioner to place an authenticated copy of this order before the Chief Officer, within a period of one week from today. M.S. Sonak, J.
