his is an application for conirmation of a Foreign Judgment/Decree granting Divorce to the Petitioner. he application has been iled under Article 1101 of the Portuguese Civil Procedure Code read with Section 13 of the Civil Procedure Code. 3.

Notice was sent to the Respondent by the Registry of this court, pursuant to the order of this court dated 20.08.2025. Respondent, Mr. Ross could not appear in person since he is in the United Kingdom, and appeared through video conferencing.

he Applicant No.1 and the Respondent solemnized their marriage on 17.06.20211 at Swindon Borough Council Civic oices, Euclid street, Swindon, UK. Subsequently the parties mutually iled proceedings for dissolution of marriage before the Family Court at HM Courts & Tribunals service, PO Box 12706, Harlow, CM20 QT, United Kingdom bearing case No. ZZ20D49316 and vide order dated 03.12.2020, divorce was made absolute decree and the same does not appear to be a Judgment passed based on law contrary to the Public Policy of India and appears to conform with the laws of the land, as would be applicable to the parties, within the State of Goa. Consequently, the application is allowed. he Final Order dated 03.12.2020 passed by the HM Courts & Tribunals service, United Kingdom is conirmed and held as inal and conclusive. 5.

he marriage of the Petitioner with the Respondent shall stand dissolved on the conirmation of this Foreign Decree. 6.

he order is made absolute in the above terms. 7.

he present application stands disposed of.
