his is an application for suspension of sentence imposed upon the applicant by the JMFC. he order of the Magistrate convicting the application for an ofence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act is dated 04.02.2023 sentencing the applicant to sufer simple imprisonment for seven months and to pay compensation of Rs.4 lakhs and in default to undergo further imprisonment of seven months.

Criminal Appeal No.73/2023 was iled before the Sessions Court, Panaji sitting at Ponda against the order of the Magistrate. 12th June 2025

904-CRMA-55-2025.DOC he order passed by the Magistrate was upheld on 30.09.2024 against which the present Criminal Revision Application is iled. During the pendency of this Revision Application a warrant came to be issued against the applicant on 11.06.2025 seeking to take him into custody to serve the sentence.

he applicant submits that he has deposited the entire compensation amount of Rs.4 lakhs with the respondent and he wishes to compound the ofence.

In view of these facts, the sentence imposed by the Magistrate by order dated 04.02.2023 shall stand suspended on the applicant executing a P. R. Bond of Rs.10,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a week from today. 5.
