Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner. 2.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner pointed out that by order dated 7 November 2017, the statement of the learned counsel for the Panchayat was recorded that the Panchayat will take necessary steps as per law within a period of four months.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that for last four months the Panchayat did not do anything and after the period is over has taken certain steps to issue a show cause notice and this action is also not taken further.

For inaction of the Panchayat to perform its duties as per law, the Director of Panchayat has been conferred with powers to ensure the compliance. Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to bring this fact to the notice of the Director of Panchayat who shall look into the issue and issue necessary directions after considering the matter and the order of the Court. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that he will make a representation to the Director of Panchayat within a period of two weeks from today.
