By presenting this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks an order on The Greater Panaji Planning and Development Authority (GPDA), to consider his application for development permission under Section 44 of the Goa Town and Country Planning Act, 1974.

In the course of hearing, Mr. Mahambrey, the learned advocate for the GPDA has placed before us a communication dated 18.08.2021, issued by its Member Secretary. The said communication is taken on record. A copy thereof has been furnished to Mr. Rao, the learned Advocate for the petitioner. 3.

Having read the communication dated 18.08.2021, it appears that the petitioner's application is being processed and a request has been made to him to comply with the preliminary observations made therein.

In view of such communication, no useful purpose will be served in keeping this Writ Petition pending. The same stands disposed of with the observations that subject to the petitioner complying with the preliminary observations made in the communication dated 18.08.2021, as well as other requisite formalities in accordance with law, the GPDA shall dispose of the application as soon as possible.

Should the petitioner feel aggrieved by any order passed by the GPDA, including the communication dated 18.08.2021, we leave it open to him to explore his remedy in accordance with law. M. S. SONAK, J.
