Heard Mr. P. Rao, learned Counsel appearing for the applicant and Ms. S. Linhares, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 1 to 3.

2. The dispute is with regard to the ownership and possession of the land surveyed under survey no.80 situated at St. Estevem of Tiswadi Taluka.

3. According to the applicant, the said land belongs to him and he claim right over the said land based on the agreement for sale and name of his predecessor in title is appearing in form I and XIV.

4. As against this, learned Additional Government Advocate argued that said land does not belong to the applicant and if at all it belongs to the applicant, then Government is proposing to acquired it.

5. During the course of arguments Mr. Rao, learned Advocate

CA/140/2015 appearing for the applicant states that during the pendency of the suit there was interim relief by which the learned Trial Court had directed the parties to maintain status quo and it was operating till the disposal of the suit and, as such, status quo may be granted till the disposal of the appeal

6. Hence, parties are directed to maintain status quo in respect of the land surveyed under no 80 only till the disposal of the appeal.

7. Application stands disposed of.
