1. As directed by our order dated 11.08.2025, the Block Development Officer of Salcete Margao Goa, has carried out the site inspection and furnished her report to the Deputy Director of Panchayats of South Goa District, Margao.

2. The report dated 14.08.2025, conclude that the illegal construction of a compound wall in Survey No.2/1-C still exists on the site and the same is not demolished by the respondent. 21st August, 2025

WP 275 of 2025 Ms Kamat, who represents the respondent No.4, though made a feeble attempt to establish that it is not a constructive wall, from the photograph annexed to the inspection report placed before us, we can say with certainty that the entire wall stand on the site, which is attempted to be covered by the leaves of the coconut trees, but evident that the structure stands on the site. She states that in case the wall is found standing on the site, the same shall be demolished by the Village Panchayat and the costs of the demolition shall be recovered from the respondent No.4.

3. Since none appears for the Village Panchayat, the Deputy Director of Panchayats shall undertake the demolition of the said wall as indicated in the report of the Block Development Officer dated 14.08.2025 within a period of two weeks from today. The costs of the demolition shall be recovered from the respondent No.4. The petition is made absolute in the aforesaid terms. NIVEDITA P. MEHTA, J.
