Heard Mr. D. Pangam, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. V. Rodrigues, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondent no.2.

2. During the course of the hearing of the above petition, Mr. V. Rodrigues, the learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondent no.2, upon instructions from the concerned department, has pointed out that the Director of Panchayat shall dispose of the appeal preferred by the respondents being Appeal No.5/2015 as expeditiously as possible, in any event within 3 months from today.

3. Mr. D. Pangam, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners points out that accepting the said statement of the learned Additional Government Advocate, upon instructions, the petitioners may be given leave to withdraw the above petition as the petitioners shall file appropriate application before the Director of Panchayat for intervention.

4. Petition stands accordingly dismissed as withdrawn accepting the statement of the learned Additional Government Advocate. Needless to state, in case any application for intervention is filed by the petitioners the same shall be dealt with by the Director of Panchayat on its own merits after hearing the parties in accordance with law.
