Heard Mr Almeida for the Petitioners. Mr Geetesh Shetye, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate appears for Respondents No.1,2, 7 and 8.

Mr Almeida fairly submits that after institution of this Petition, Respondent No.3, acting on the Petitioners' complaint, issued a stop-work order to Respondents No.5 and 6; has held a hearing and final order was supposed to be passed by 24/1/2023. He states that till date, he has no instructions about whether such 25/01/23

Considering the above, we direct the Chief Officer to dispose of the complaints at the earliest. If the order is not already passed, then, the Chief Officer should pass such an order as expeditiously as possible and not later than 15 days from today.

Mr Almeida states that an authenticated copy of this order will be furnished to the Chief Officer of the Mormugao Municipal Council, latest by 27 th January 2023.

The Petition is disposed of without going into the rival contentions.
