This Petition is filed by the Petitioner making a grievance that the Mamlatdar of Bardez, at Mapusa had not made a copy of the order available and inspite of repeated requests, the copy was not given.

The Petition had come up on board on 9 July 2018. We had given an opportunity to the Petitioner to furnish a copy of the Judgment rendered in Writ Petition No.281/2006 wherein Court had given certain directions about time schedule for making the copy of the order available. Since the Petitioner informed that inspite of

2 wp701-18 dtd.16-10-18 placing this order copy is not given, a notice was issued. 3.

An affidavit is filed by Mr. Dasharath Narayan Gawas, who was the Mamlatdar at the relevant time and who had passed the order on 6 February 2018. In this affidavit, he has given reasons as to why the copy could not be made available for more than six months. Some of the reasons which are given are administrative works, election works, etc. The reasons are totally general in nature. It is informed that the certified copy is given to the Petitioner. 4.

Though we accept the affidavit filed by the Mamlatdar, we must record that such lapses should be avoided by the Mamlatdar in future. The learned Additional Government Advocate states that the Mamlatdar is aware of this present lapse and has assured that he will take care to adhere to such time schedules. 5.

Accepting the statement as above and the apology tendered by the Mamlatdar who is present in the Court, we dispose of the Writ Petition.
