This is an application seeking condonation of delay of 80 days in filing the accompanying appeal. The Applicant is the State of Goa and condonation of delay is sought inter alia on the ground that due to lock-down imposed as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the process of moving the papers, drafting of the appeal and filing of the same took sometime.

Although the present application is opposed on behalf of the Respondent, this Court is convinced that sufficient ground is made out for condonation of delay. Hence, the application is allowed and the delay is condoned.
