This is an application for extension of time to deposit the balance decretal amount passed by the Ad-hoc Senior Civil Judge, 'A' Court, Vasco-da-Gama under an award dated 27.02.2015. Under earlier orders of this Court, the Applicant has been depositing sums

of money, to secure the order of stay granted to it. The last such order was as of 05.05.2025 under which the earlier deposit made by the Petitioner was released to the Respondent into its bank account which is detailed in para 3 of that order. An additional amount of Rs.10,00,000/- was to be deposited by 06.05.2025, which was actually deposited in view of its letter with the Registry of this Court. Delay in depositing the said Rs.10,00,000/- is condoned. The Registry shall release/transfer to the account of the Respondent the said amount of Rs.10,00,000/-. The details of the account are recorded below:

The present application seeks extension of time granted under order dated 05.05.2025 to deposit the balance amount. In the meantime, the Petitioner/Applicant has undertaken to deposit within the course of the day two demand drafts, each of Rs.50,00,000/- totalling to an amount of Rs.1,00,00,000/-. Registry to accept the said two demand drafts of Rs.50,00,000/- each. On the demand drafts realizing into the account of the Registry, the Registry shall transfer the said amount of Rs.1,00,00,000/- deposited today to the account

of the Respondent which is detailed in para 3 above. The transfers of the amount of Rs.1,00,00,000/- which is to be deposited today and Rs.10,00,000/- lying with the Registry, as deposited under order of 05.05.2025, shall be transferred within a period of one week from today.

Learned Senior Advocate Mr. Padiyar has placed on record calculations of the principal of interest due under the Award dated 27.02.2015 calculated till 20.06.2025, after adjusting all earlier amounts deposited, save and except the amount of Rs.10,00,000/- deposited on 09.05.2025. The Respondent to place on record on the next date of hearing the balance principal and interest due after receipt of the amount of Rs.1,10,00,000/- to be transferred under this order. So also, the Applicant shall place on record their calculations and balance principal and interest due.

For the reasons stated in the application, the time to deposit the balance amount under the Award stands extended till 31.07.2025. 7.

Application stands disposed of.
