Mr Noor Mohammed is before us with a request to direct the respondents to allow his transfer from the State of Goa to the State of Kerala, as it is his grievance that he made a request for transfer, but it was overlooked, and according to him, there are vacancies in Kerala where he can be accommodated.
We must make it clear that it is for a particular Department of an undertaking to look into such grievances and how they manage their affairs and since the petitioner is an employee of the Postal Department, it is a better Department to take an appropriate decision as 10th September, 2025
WP 274 of 2025 regards his request and if it is possible to accommodate him at the place of his request, consider his request, as we find that it is the best judge to decide whether the petitioner deserves a transfer or not. In such circumstances, when we suggested Mr Chodankar, the learned counsel for the respondents to consider his request, he readily conceded that it can be so done.
In the wake of the aforesaid, we direct the respondents authorities to treat the petition as a representation made on behalf of the petitioner with a prayer for consideration of his request for transfer to the State of Kerala and communicate the decision to him within a period of six weeks from today.
