The petitioner has grievance about the illegal construction carried out by the Respondent No. 3. Construction is within the limits of Village Panchayat of St. Cruz. Accordingly, a complaint came to be made by the petitioner on 18/05/2024 to the Village Panchayat of St. Cruz for taking appropriate action. The petitioner made a grievance that the Respondent No. 2 is not taking any action pursuant to the complaint. Construction according to the 1st August, 2024
(903) WP 519.2024 petitioner is completely contrary to the Rules and Regulations governing the same.

Mr. Gaonkar, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent No. 2 on instruction, states that the complaint dated 18/05/2024 will be looked into and same will be taken to its logical conclusion within a period of Six weeks from today. Contentions of the petitioner are kept open. We accept the statement of Mr. Gaonkar that needful will done by the Respondent No. 2.

Mr. Gaonkar submits that Stop Work Notice has been issued in respect of the construction which is carried out by the Respondent No. 3. Needless to mention that all possible steps will be taken to ensure that Stop Work Notice is enforced. The concerned authorities to co-operate.

The petition stands disposed of. No costs.
