the Petitioners and Shri S. R. Rivonkar, learned Public Prosecutor, appearing for the Respondents.

2. The grievance of the Petitioners is that the complaint lodged in respect of the death of son of the Petitioners was not being properly investigated.

On the last date of hearing the learned Public Prosecutor had placed on record an order dated 02.08.2016, inter alia, stating that the investigations have now been transferred to the Crime Branch at Ribandar, Goa. Shri Sardessai, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that though he does not, at this stage, press for any investigations by the CBI, it would be appropriate in the circumstances that directions be issued that compliance reports be submitted to this Court showing the progress of such investigations. 3.

In view of the above, we dispose of the above petition in view of the said order dated 02.08.2016 which is marked at 'X' of the application with a direction that the concerned Investigating Officer shall place on record the progress report of the investigations within three months. Learned Public Prosecutor states that he will furnish a copy of the report to the learned counsel for the Petitioner.

All contentions of both the parties are left open.
