Heard Shri J. E. Coelho Pereira, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Shri A. N. S. Nadkarni, learned Advocate General appearing for the respondents No.1 and 2.

2. We have heard the above petition at length. It is contended by Shri Coelho Pereira, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner that the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Dean, Goa Dental College was an ad hoc appointment. But, however, Shri A.N.S. Nadkarni, learned Advocate General appearing for the respondents No.1 and 2 has pointed out from the orders issued by the State Government that the petitioner was given only charge of the post of Dean. Learned Advocate General, however, points out that

WP/579/2014 the post of Dean, Goa Dental Colleges shall be filled up within a period of six months from today, in accordance with law.

3. In view of the said statement, Shri J.E. Coelho Pereira, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, upon instructions of the petitioner, seeks leave to withdraw the above petition, provided the said statement of the learned Advocate General is accepted.

4. Hence, accepting the said statement of the learned Advocate General, the petition is allowed to be withdrawn. The petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. All contentions of both the parties, on merits, are left open.
