Having heard the learned Counsel for the parties, we find that looking into the facts and circumstances of the case and the subsequent development occurred during the pendency of the petition, it would be appropriate for the petitioner to file fresh application for renewal of the passport.

2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that he will file the application for renewal of the passport.

3. The learned Counsel for the respondent submits that in case the petitioner files fresh application, the same shall be processed, considered and will be decided in accordance with the provisions of the Passport Act and the relevant Rules.

4. In view of the aforesaid, in case the petitioner files fresh application, the respondent to consider and take appropriate

WP/705/2017 decision on the same as expeditious as possible in accordance with law.
