Date:- 26 June 2018 P.C.:- The Petitioner who was working as a Meter Reader was now superannuated had sought to question his pay scale granted to him when he was working as a Meter Reader. Additional affidavit is being filed by the Chief Electrical Engineer who has handed over in the Court today. It is stated at paragraphs nos.3 and 4 as under:- "3.

I state that the present petition pertains to the fixation of pay scale of the Petitioner herein as a Meter Reader. I state that the Petitioner is entitled to pa pay scale amounting to Rs.1400-40-1800EB50-2300 with increments, if any, accrued to his benefit from 1993.

I state and reiterate that the Petitioner herein

vinita - 2 - wp 667-17 has already been paid an amount of Rs.48,496/- (-)ROP 1080/- Net 47416/- towards 40% back wages for the intervening period from dismissal to reinstatement i.e from 19/10/1988 to 09/05/1993.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that in view of this statement, the grievance of the Petitioner stands satisfied and since the Petitioner is now superannuated, the Respondent be directed to disburse the amount now payable within a time bound period.

We had put it to the learned Addl. Govt. Advocate as to time period within which amount can be now disbursed. The learned Addl. Govt. Advocate, on taking instructions from Prakash Redkar, office Superintendent, Chief Electrical Engineer Office through Rajan Vaigankar, UDC, stated that the amount will have to be approved by the Director of Accounts and thereafter will be disbursed, which process would take around three months' time. It is stated that within 3 weeks file will be put up to the Director of Accounts. The Director of Accounts will thereafter process the same at the earliest, so that amount can be disbursed to the Petitioner within three months as committed to the Court.
