41-WP-61-2020.doc Salkar who has placed on record letter dated 24.11.2022. The said letter is the answer to the prayers sought by the petitioners in the petition. The letter states that the Government has approved the proposal of the Department to inspect to extend the benefit of revision of pay to the officers in the cadre of BDO in the scale of 6500-200- ₹ 10500 appointed vide letter dated 03.01.1997 to the petitioners in Writ Petition No.61/2020 w.e.f. 01.01.1996 as per the judgment/order dated 02.09.2014 in Writ Petition No.336 of 2014.

In the light of the said letter, the Department of Personnel is bound to act in terms of the said decision of the High Court in Writ Petition No.61/2020. In view of the said letter, petitioners' counsel states that nothing survives in the petition and, accordingly, the same is disposed of as settled.
