Heard Mr. Vaze, learned counsel for the Petitioner. Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General appears along with Mr. S. Priolkar for the Respondents.

Mr. Vaze submits that only grievance of the Petitioner is that his application dated 05.06.2020 for change of name made under the provisions of the Goa Change of Name and Surname (Amendment) Act, 1990 and the Rules framed thereunder is not being disposed of expeditiously.

The learned Advocate General makes a statement that the application dated 05.06.2020 will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of three months from today.

By accepting the aforesaid statement and directing the concerned authorities to act accordingly, we dispose of this petition.
