P.C.:- Nobody present for the petitioner. Seen the prayer clause. Relief is claimed for quashing and setting aside the order dated 08/01/2014 passed by the State Police Complaints Authority. The State Police Complaints Authority has rejected the complaint made by the petitioner.

The provisions of law by which the State Police Complaints Authority was created show that the Authority is only advisory in nature. Even if Authority gives advise for taking action on complaint that advise is not binding on the Government. In view of this circumstance, nothing can be achieved by setting aside the order made by the Authority and remanding the matter back to the Authority. He can use other appropriate forum where his

- 2 - 251-WP-657-2014.doc grievance can be redressed. As nothing can be done in proceedings like the present one and as proceeding is kept pending from 2014, hence the proceedings stands dismissed.
