Heard learned Counsel for the applicants and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

2. The applicants/accused have been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 8(2) of the Goa Children's Act, Section 324 and 504 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Under Section 8(2) of the Goa Children's Act, they have been sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- each and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for one year. Under Section 504 IPC, they have been sentenced to pay fine of Rs.500/- each and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for ten days, while under Section 324 IPC, they have been sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for one year and to

CRMA/154/2016 pay fine of Rs.1,000/- each and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for twenty days.

3. The applicants were on bail during the trial.

4. Having heard the learned Counsel for the parties, the following order is passed:

(i) The substantive sentence of imprisonment is hereby suspended pending disposal of the appeal on condition that the applicants shall furnish a PR bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- each with one solvent surety in the like amount.

(ii) The applicants shall deposit the amount of fine within a period of one week from today.

(iii) The bail bonds to be furnished before the Children's Court. C. V. BHADANG, J.
