Mr. Talaulikar, learned Additional Government Advocate points out that the petitioner's application made before the Mamlatdar of Canacona has been placed for consideration before the Collector of South Goa. Mr. Talaulikar, however, points out that since leave applied is for a period in excess of 180 days, ultimately, it is for the State Government to take a decision on such application. He states that the concerned authority of the State Government will take a

wp no.627 of 2019 decision on the petitioner's application for leave within a period of two weeks from today. This statement is accepted. 3.

The concerned authority of the State Government is directed to dispose of the petitioner's application seeking Child Care Lave (CCL) as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of two weeks from today. Necessary decision to be communicated to the petitioner no sooner the same is taken.

We make it clear that we have not examined the matter on merits and, therefore, it is open to the respondents to take a decision in accordance with law and on its own merits. Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. NUTAN D. SARDESSAI, J.
