Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

Mr. Diniz, learned Senior Advocate for the petitioners based on instructions from the petitioners states that the petitioners will, in full and final settlement of the impugned demand in this petition, pay to the respondents the principal demanded amount of 29,22,000/- ₹ together with simple interest thereon at the rate of 8% per annum effective from 08.08.2012 till the date of actual payment.

Mr. Diniz further states that this principal amount together with interest will be paid to the concerned respondents on or before 30.03.2022.

Learned Advocate General states that in the peculiar facts of the present case, if the amount as aforesaid is indeed paid by 30.03.2022 then, no further claims like penalty, additional interest etc. will be made with regard to the demand notice challenged in this petition. 5.

Learned Advocate General states that necessary challan for payment of the aforesaid will be issued to the petitioners no sooner they make a request/application for the same. 6.

Mr. Diniz makes it clear that the aforesaid statement has been made based on the instructions from the petitioners. He states that the Manager Prasad Kanoth is also present in the Court and it is this Manager has conveyed the instructions from the petitioners. 7.

Mr. Diniz states that he has instructions not to press this petition any further and therefore, the same can now be disposed of. 8.

Accordingly, this petition is disposed of by accepting the aforesaid statements on behalf of both the parties. 9.

Misc. Civil Application, if any, does not survive with the disposal of this petition and accordingly disposed of.
