Mr. Gaonkar, learned counsel for the Petitioners states that the relief in terms of prayer clause (b) of this petition has now been rendered infructuous since the Collector has already disposed of the revision petition instituted by the Petitioners.

2. In so far as the relief in terms of prayer clause (a) is concerned, we have perused the affidavit filed on behalf of Respondent No.2. The affidavit states that there are at least 70 cases instituted prior to the Petitioners' case, which are pending disposal. The Respondent No.2 has also stated that the Petitioners have not taken proper steps to serve all the

WP/695/2019 Respondents and these Petitioners who filed not less than seven complaints which contribute delay in disposing of the petition.

3. Taking into consideration the aforesaid circumstances as also the fact that there are prior cases which are pending, we are afraid, we cannot issue any direction of expedition in this particular case. However, we urge the Respondent No.2 to dispose of the pending matters as expeditiously as possible so that there is no unreasonable delay in disposing of the same.

4. The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.

5. All concerned to act on the basis of the authenticated copy of this order.
