P.C.:- Heard Ms. Lida Joao, the contemnor who appears in person. We have also heard Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General for the State of Goa.

Ms. Joao, in her affidavit filed on 9.10.2019, has tendered an unconditional apology to this Court for the actions which led to making of the present reference. Further, Ms. Joao has today filed an affidavit before us, stating that she has also tendered an apology to the Presiding Officer of the Court of Judicial Magistrate, First Class and Civil Judge, Senior Division, 1 st Additional at Margao. A copy of the apology letter is also enclosed along with the affidavit.

We have perused the affidavits filed by Ms. Joao before this Court, as well as the letter of apology tendered by her before the learned Trial Judge. We have also taken into consideration the activities with which Ms. Joao is involved, supporting the cause of legal services and rehabilitation and reintegration of the prisoners in the State of Goa.

Upon cumulative consideration of all the aforesaid factors, we dispose of the reference made in the present matter by the learned Trial Judge and discharge the notice issued to the contemnor. 5.

These proceedings are, accordingly, closed in the aforesaid terms.
