On 10 September 2018, we had passed the following order.
"The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the Respondent No.1-Panchayat after the site inspection and panchanama have taken no further steps. We could have disposed of the petition today itself by directing the Respondent No.1 to take steps as per law within a time frame however, since it is not clear whether the Panchayat has taken any steps and whether cogent evidence exists before taking steps, we issue notice to the Respondents,
Amrut 2 WP865-18dt 17-10-2018 returnable on 8 October 2018.

2. On 10 October 2018, the learned counsel for the Respondent No.1 sought time. Today also similar statement is made. It appears that the Respondent No.1 has proposed certain action against the private Respondent. It is the grievance of the Petitioner that it was not taken to its logical end. We direct the Respondent No.1- Panchayat to take necessary action as per law within a period of eight weeks from today. We make it clear that we have not commented on the rival contentions of the parties and all legitimate contentions available to the parties are kept open.

The writ petition is disposed of.
