The Miscellaneous Civil Applications are preferred seeking intervention in the writ petitions preferred by the petitioners challenging the order dated 21.04.2023 passed by the respondent No.1 in the petitions. Learned advocate Mr Lobo, appearing for the applicant submits that the applicant had originally made a representation to the Chief Minister of Goa which was bearing Inward No.5549/C dated 10.09.2019 highlighting irregularities in the functioning of the Goa State Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., Curti, Ponda, Goa. 2.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners do not accept the contention of the applicant reflected in paragraph 3 of his application wherein it is stated that the Registrar of Cooperative Societies invoked powers under Section 76A(1) of the Goa Cooperative Societies Act, 2991 and started the present proceedings. It is submitted that the applicant can be at the most permitted to address the Court as intervenor and not by impleading as respondent in the petitions. 3.

Learned Government Advocate Mr Salkar, submitted that it may not be construed that the proceedings under challenge are initiated at the instance of the intervenor and the same are initiated suo motu.

Considering the aforesaid circumstances, the applicant herein is permitted to be added as an intervenor and address the Court.

Requisite amendment may be carried out in the petitions to add the applicant as intervenor in the proceedings. 6.

Applications stand disposed of.
