The above Petition goes on the premise that the husband of the Petitioner was murdered immediately after he left his duties as a Coxswain in the State Government at Divar Jetty. On the last date of hearing, the learned Public Prosecutor was called upon to inform the progress of the investigation. Progress reports were submitted but ultimately it appears that no substantial progress was made in resolving the mystery of the death of the husband of the Petitioner. 4.
In the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, we direct the Respondents to transfer the investigations to the Crime Branch of the State Government for further investigations with regard to the FIR lodged before the concerned Police Station.
