Heard Mr Pavithran for the applicants. Mr D. Vernekar appears for the first, second and third respondents. Ms Annelise Fernandes appears for the fourth respondent and Mr S.P. Munj, the learned Additional Government Advocate appears for the fifth respondent.

2. The First Appeal is already admitted. This Civil Application seeks a stay on the execution of the impugned judgment and decree dated 30.07.2018. The decree is a money decree. No case is made out to deviate from the normal rule that the decreetal amount must be secured by the judgment debtor.

3. Accordingly, interim relief is granted in terms of prayer clause (a), subject to the applicant depositing the entire decreetal amount with interest in this Court within eight weeks from today. However, if for any reason, the amount is not deposited within eight weeks from today, with intimation to the learned Counsel for the respondents, this interim relief shall stand vacated without further reference to this Court.
