2. In pursuance of assurance given to us and as recorded in our order dated 14.12.2018, the Contemnor, has made judgment and order dated 25.1.2019.

3. The Contemnor, in his affidavit in reply dated 14.12.2018 has tendered an unconditional apology while explaining the circumstances in which, why our order earlier could not be complied with, within the prescribed period. In such matter, tendering an apology, is not sufficient, the Officer concerned is

CP/47/2018 in the first place, required to take steps to dispose of the matter within the prescribed period and if it is really not possible, then to seek extension of time before expiry of such period. Nothing of this sort appears to have been done in the present matter.

4. Nevertheless, now that the matter is disposed of, we do not propose to take this matter any further. We, however, hope that Contemnor in future, complies with judicial directions promptly and within time limit setout.

5. Contempt petition is disposed of.
