Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The learned Advocate General makes a statement that the Petitioners' application for regularization filed on 31.10.2016 will be disposed of by Respondent No.2 i.e. Deputy Collector (South Goa) as expeditiously as possible and in any case not later than four months from today.

Since the only relief in this petition was a direction on the Respondent No.2 to dispose of the above application expeditiously, such relief stands worked out given the learned Advocate General's statement.

Accordingly, by accepting the above statement and directing the Respondent No.2 to act accordingly, we dispose of this petition. However, we make it clear that this issue of regularization is not to be linked with the issue of demolition orders made in this matter against this very construction put up by the Petitioners.

Accordingly, without prejudice to the rights of the Respondent No.5 and this issue of demolition, we dispose of this petition in the above terms.
