ORAL ORDER:

his is an application for conirmation of a Foreign Judgment/Decree granting Divorce to the Petitioner. he application has been iled under Article 1101 of the Portuguese Civil Procedure Code read with Section 13 of the Civil Procedure Code. 2.
he Respondent was served by the Registry of this court through his power of attorney, his uncle, Mr. Freddy, pursuant to the order of this court dated 02.09.2025. Adv. H.Arsekar, appeared for the Respondent No.2, Power of Attorney of the Respondent No.1 and on his instructions submitted that Respondent No.1 has no objection to the grant of the application.

he parties had registered their marriage before the Civil Registration Oice of Margao, Salcete, South Goa and entry to that
efect has been made under No.67 of 2018 dated 09.01.2018 in the Marriage Registration book of the year 2018.

Due to diferences which arose between the parties, the Respondent No.2 iled proceedings for dissolution of marriage registered in Goa, before the Family Court at HM Courts & Tribunals service, PO Box 13226, Harlow, CM20 9UG, United Kingdom bearing case no.1663-7596-3013-8573 and vide order dated 04.04.2023, a conditional order was passed.

By a Final Order dated 17.05.2023, the HM Courts & Tribunals service, PO Box 13226, Harlow, CM20 9UG, United Kingdom the conditional order was made inal, recording that no suicient cause for refusing to grant the inal order was shown to the court. A Certiicate of Final Order (Divorce) was issued to that efect. 6.
On perusing conditions of the Final Order passed, the same does not appear to be a Judgment passed based on law contrary to the Public Policy of India and appears to conform with the laws of the land, as would be applicable to the parties, within the State of Goa. Consequently, the application is allowed. he Final Order dated 17.05.2023 passed by the HM Courts & Tribunals service, United Kingdom is conirmed and held as inal and conclusive. 7.
he marriage of the Petitioner with the Respondent shall stand dissolved on the conirmation of this Foreign Decree. Consequently, the Civil Registrar is directed to make appropriate endorsement against
the Entry No. 67/2018 in the Marriage Registration Book of the year 2018 dated 09.01.2018, recording conirmation of the aforementioned Decree of Divorce and cancel such registration. 8.
he order is made absolute in the above terms. 9.
he present application stands disposed of.
