Heard Mr Kishan Padgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr S. D. Padiyar, learned counsel for respondent no.1Valpoi Municipal Council and Mr Tukaram Gawas, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent no.7. 2.

The petitioner's grievance was that no effective steps were being taken for demolition of construction/structures which have been already adjudged as illegal and unauthorisied. 13thFebruary 2023

Mr Padgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioner had stated that steps were being taken but the action could not be completed for want of demolition squad being provided by the State Government authorities. Mr Padgaonkar had stated that if such squads are made available, the demolition would be carried out. 4.

Today, Mr Gawas, learned Additional Government Advocate has placed on record orders dated 09.02.2023 about providing demolition squads and the time-table for carrying out demolition. 5.

We have placed the above orders on record and accept the assurance from the state agencies and the counsel that the demolition will now be carried out and completed in all respects latest by 06.03.2023.

By accepting this assurance and statements, we dispose of this petition.
