Only prayer made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner is expeditious disposal of the proceedings pending before the Scrutiny Committee. The learned Government Advocate states that the process of vigilance inquiry is undergoing. Since the issue involved is regarding the validity of the caste certificate of Respondent No.4 who is an elected candidate, the decision by the Scrutiny Committee be taken within a period of three months from today.

2. However, it is expected that the Respondent-Scrutiny Committee will carry out the scrutiny carefully and not in hurry,

WP/969/2017 as the consequences of grant or rejection of the validity of certificate has various implications.

3. The writ petition is disposed of.
