Heard Shri J. Godinho, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Shri S. Dhargalkar, the learned Additional Government Advocate for the Respondents.

2. The petition takes exception to the inaction by the respondent no.2 on the application dated 22/06/2016 as well as the application dated 14/08/2014.

3. During the course of the hearing, the learned Additional Government Advocate fairly concedes that the reasons disclosed in the letter dated 20/07/2016 do not subsist and, as such, the applications filed by the petitioner would be examined as

WP/993/2016 expeditiously as possible.

4. Looking into the overall facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose off the aforesaid petition by directing the respondent no.2 to dispose off the said applications dated 22/06/2016 and 14/08/2014, as expeditiously as possible and in any event within two months from today. The petition stands accordingly disposed off .
