The Dy. Director of Panchayat/respondent no.2, who is present in the Court states that he will assume powers under section 65 (5) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act and proceed to examine all the complaints lodged by the petitioners and decide such applications within a period of six months from today.

2. Accepting the statement of the respondent no.2, Shri Kamat, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the petition. The petition stands disposed of as withdrawn accepting the statement of the respondent no.2.
