This is an application for condonation of delay of 402 days in filing First Appeal against an award of the District Court in the Land Acquisition case.

The appeal is filed at the behest of the Government of Goa. The application has been opposed by the Respondent by filing an affidavit to that effect. 3.

The reasons stated in the application for delay in filing the appeal are merely due to administrative reasons i.e. movement of the concerned file to the various authorities for opinion and approval before filing of the appeal. There is no reason for disbelieving the reasons stated by the applicant as it is even supported by an affidavit of the concerned officer.

For the above reasons, the application is allowed. The delay in filing the First Appeal is condoned. The First Appeal at Stamp Number Main No. 58 of 2018(F) be placed for admission.

Accordingly, the MCA No. 12 of 2024 is disposed of.
