1) The petitioner raises twofold grievance by the present petition. The first grievance is with regard to events while in service and the second grievance is of post-service period. She alleges that while in service when she was close to the date of superannuation she was transferred, contrary to the relevant rules, to a place most inconvenient to her only so as to accommodate another employee. Even her illhealth was not taken into consideration. Further she was not paid salary for a long time. The second grievance raised is with regard to non-payment of pension to her till date.

2) It appears that by taking cognizance of a news report appearing in a daily newspaper, the Minister of Industries, HT&C,

WP/1054/2016 SW and Co-operation, by the note dated 8th February, 2016 has called for a detailed report of the Registrar of Societies, in the matter. The report was to be submitted by 15th June, 2016. In these facts of the case, the petitioner seeks relief of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release her pension along with interest and compensation of Rs.1,00,000/-. She also prays for detailed enquiry through Vigilance Department into "undue harassment, denial of pension, denial of salary and illegal transfer" meted out to her.

3) Mr. S. D. Lotlikar, learned Advocate General makes a statement, on instructions from the Officer of respondent No.1 who is present in the Court that the pension of the petitioner will be released within a period of l5 days from today. In view of the statement made, the immediate grievance of the petitioner stands addressed. In that circumstance, the petition can be conveniently disposed of in the following terms :

(I) The statement made by Mr. S.D. Lotlikar, learned Advocate General that the pension of the petitioner would be released within a period of 15 days from today, is accepted.

WP/1054/2016 (II) Respondent No.1 shall enquire into the complaint of the petitioner, of which cognizance has been taken by the Minister vide Note dated 08/02/2016. Respondent No.1 shall complete the inquiry within a period of two months from today and take appropriate action thereunder, if any.
