By this petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondent to decide the application for parole expeditiously.

2. The application for parole was sent by the petitioner on 19/09/2017. Record further discloses that the respondent, Inspector General of Prisons, by his communication dated 16/10/2017, had sought for a report from the Superintendent of Police, which is said to be awaited. In any event, considering the fact that the application for parole is pending from September, 2017, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, states that the application shall be decided within a period of two

WPCR/190/2017 weeks from today. The statement is accepted. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to decide the application for parole in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the receipt of this order. PRITHVIRAJ K. CHAVAN, J.
