Mr Costa Frias, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly accepts that the reliefs in this petition have now been rendered infructuous. He points out that this petition concerned the continuance of the petitioner as member of the Village Panchayat of Azossim Mandur for the term of 2017-22. This term has already expired and fresh elections have also taken place in August 2022.
