Mr. Sahil Sardessai, who appears under the Legal Aid Scheme, submits that the limited relief in this Petition is to direct the Deputy Collector to dispose of case no. DCP/LRC/ILL-CONV/8-56/2019 in a time-bound manner.

2. Mr. Samant, learned Additional Government Advocate, states that the third Respondent had raised certain objections and sought a transfer of the matter from the then presiding Deputy Collector. Mr. Samant however pointed out that the Deputy Collector from whose Court transfer was sought, has himself been transferred and substituted by a new incumbent.

3. Mr. Samant states that the new incumbent Deputy Collector will now dispose of case no. DCP/LRC/ILL-CONV/8-56/2019 on its own merits in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the authenticated copy of this Order being placed before him.

4. Mr. Sardessai states that the matter is now posted on 16.02.2024 and on this date, an authenticated copy of this Order will be filed before the incumbent Deputy Collector.

5. Accordingly, by accepting the above statement and by directing the Deputy Collector to act accordingly, we dispose of this Petition.

6. We thank Mr. Sardessai for appearing on behalf of the Petitioner under the Legal Aid Scheme.
