Heard Ms. Asha A. Desai, learned Counsel appearing for the applicant and Mr. Sagar Malkarnekar, learned Counsel appearing for the respondent.

2. This is an application to confirm the order passed by the Court of First Instances at Kuwait, granting divorce. The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent has no objection.

3. Both the Counsel accept that the divorce was granted on the ground of desertion and cruelty. As such grounds are available for divorce under law, as prevailing in the State of Goa, I find no reason to refuse the relief sought by the applicant which is not opposed by the respondent.

4. Hence, the order dated 06/01/2009 granting divorce stands confirmed, with all legal consequences. The application stands disposed of accordingly.
