Heard Mr. Lotlikar,learned Senior Advocate alongwith Ms. S. Kenny for the Petitioner. Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General appears for Respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3 and Mr. D. Lawande appears for Respondent No.5. Respondent No.4, though served is not present.

2. The issue raised in this petition concerns the confirmation of the Petitioner to the post of Deputy Director of Fire and Emergency Services.

3. The learned Advocate General makes a statement that the proposal relating to confirmation will be forwarded to Respondent No.5 within a period of four weeks from today.

4. Mr. D. Lawande, learned counsel for Respondent No.5 makes a statement that the GPSC, will dispose of such proposal within a period of four weeks from the date of its receipt, provided of course if the complete proposal is received by the GPSC.

5. We expect the State to forward a complete proposal to the GPSC within a period of four weeks from today so that, the GPSC will be in a position to take appropriate decision within a period of four weeks thereafter.

6. The relief in this petition stands substantially worked out by recording and accepting the aforesaid statement. Accordingly, by recording and accepting the aforesaid statement, we dispose of this petition.

7. All concerned to act on the basis of the authenticated copy of this order.
