2. This application is for confirmation of a decree of divorce dated 01.02.2016 passed by the learned District Court at Ratnagiri in Special Marriage Petition No. 1 of 2015. Perusal of the Judgment shows that the marriage between the parties has been dissolved by mutual consent under section 28 of the Special Marriage Act, 1954. It further appears that the said petition was filed by the Respondent herself. Learned Counsel for the applicant states that the Respondent/wife has since remarried. Be that as it may, considering the fact that the ground on which the marriage has been dissolved is available as per the law applicable in Goa, the application deserves to be granted.
