This is a contempt petition alleging breach of the judgment and order dated 14/11/2011 directing certain information to be furnished to the petitioner by the Information Officer. The record discloses that the judgment and order dated 14/11/2011 was challenged before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No.33124/2011 in which the following order is passed on 30/1/2018 :

1. It is submitted at Bar that nothing further survives in these matters. As the matters have become infructuous, information would serve no purpose. The Special Leave petitions are accordingly dismissed as having become infructuous. Pending applications stand disposed

2. Since the matters have become infructuous , the impugned judgment is not to be enforced and not to be treated as a precedent for any other case. Question of law is kept open."

It can thus be seen that in terms of the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court the impugned judgment is not to be enforced. In such circumstances, nothing survives in the petition which is accordingly dismissed.
