The Petitioner inter alia seeks direction to the Goa Environment Impact Assessment Authority to consider and decide the application dated 30.08.2017 seeking permission for operation of dry dock and barge repair facility in Survey No.30/8 of Village Cortalim, Salcete, Goa.

2. Learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner has invited attention of this Court order dated 06.01.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (Civil) Diary No(s). 49103/2024 and submitted that the Respondent No.5 has only been granted liberty to process the 12th March, 2025

WP 25 of 2025 application but cannot pass a final order granting approval. It is further submitted that the Authority be directed to process the application.

3. We have considered the rival contentions of the parties. In the light of the order dated 06.01.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the aforesaid SLP, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the Petition with directions to the authority to process the application. However, no final order granting approval shall be passed as directed by the Supreme Court.
