Rule. Considering the order dated 10/02/2023, the petition is taken for final disposal at the admission stage. 2.

Heard Mr A.F. Diniz, Senior Advocate, who appears along with Mr Ryan Menezes with Mr Nigel Fernandes, learned Counsel for the petitioners and Mr Manish Salkar, learned Government Advocate for respondents Nos.1 and 2.

Learned Counsel for the parties states that the order made in Writ Petition No.973 of 2019 will cover issues raised in the present petition.

Accordingly, by adopting the reasoning therein, the impugned judgment and order dated 29/10/2019 are hereby set aside, and the Collector/competent authority is directed to dispose of the petitioners' application for conversion in accordance with the law and on its own merit. Therefore, the Collector /competent authority should take cognizance and follow the directions issued in the order disposing of Writ Petition No.973 of 2019 and act accordingly. The Petitioners to also act likewise.

The rule is made absolute in the above terms without any cost order.
