The only effective relief in the present petition is a direction to respondent no.1 to dispose of the petitioner's Revision Application dated 21.9.2018 within a stipulated period.

Mr. Prabhudessai, learned Additional Government Advocate today hands in a communication dated 7.1.2019 addressed to the petitioner stating that the petitioner's Revision Application dated 24.9.2018 is being returned to the petitioner because this Revision Application was not accompanied by a Government Treasury Challan of Rs.50/- towards fees for processing such Revision Application. Mr. Prabhudessai clarifies that this communication does not mean that the petitioner's Revision Application is disposed of but only means that the petitioner must pay processing fees of Rs.50/- so that the Revision Application can be processed and considered in accordance with law.

Mr. Kerkar, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the processing fees of Rs.50/- will be paid by the petitioner within a period of one week from today. Mr. Prabhudessai, learned Additional Government Advocates states that once the processing fees are paid, Respondent no.1 will dispose of the Revision Application within a period of five weeks.

Respondent no.1 is directed to dispose of the Revision Application within a period of six weeks from the date the petitioner pays processing fees of Rs.50/- and such disposal shall be in

3 wp-1194.18 dt.7 -1-2019 accordance with law and on its own merits. It is clarified that this Court has not adverted to the merits of the matter and, therefore, all the contentions of the parties are expressly kept open. 6.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 7.
