This application by the petitioners is for interim stay of the order dated 3rd May, 2016, passed by respondent no.1 and for fixing up a peremptory date of final hearing of the petition.

2. The very interim relief had been sought by the petitioner at the time of admission of the petition. But the Court was inclined to grant a limited relief at that time. It was directed that the Administrator of the petitioner no.13 society though appointed, shall not take charge pending the hearing of the petition.

3. Mr. Diniz states that the present Civil Application is required to be filed in view of the notice issued by the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Election Cell, North Goa

CA/254/2016 District, for finalisation of the list of voters as per the schedule issued by the Assistant Election Officer and Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Election Cell. The final list of voters is to be published on 21st December, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. Mr. Lotlikar, the learned Advocate General submits that thereafter, the election program is required to be published within a period of 15 days as required statutorily, and that the respondent would publish the election program in the first week of January, 2017.

4. Considering the dispute raised therein, it is desirable that the petition is heard expeditiously. The petition is, therefore, directed to be placed at the bottom of the admission board on 4th January, 2017, for final hearing.

5. In the event the Court is unable to take up the petition for final hearing on the date fixed, the petitioners are at liberty to renew the application for interim relief. The parties shall complete their pleadings on or before the adjourned date. C. V. BHADANG, J.
